How did the Christian faith grow from only 12 disciples in Israel 2,000 years ago to over 2.2 billion people worldwide today?

Jesus taught His followers how to grow in their relationship with God and, through the power of the Holy Spirit, to invest in the lives of others.

If Jesus had been a sailor, His disciples would have been His crew. Working side by side, celebrating each other’s victories, supporting each other through life's storms, calling each other out when they were missing the mark, and operating as a cooperative team to achieve God’s plan for their lives.

Have you ever asked yourself, "Who’s my crew?"

Who is walking through life with you? Whose wisdom are you gaining insight from? Who are you helping along the way?

As we focus on our annual theme this year, Ignite Faith, we will walk through what it means to have a "crew" in your life and help you get started on this incredible journey! We are calling this journey "My Crew."

My Crew takes shape in two parts. Part 1, taking place this fall, will center around building a small group of peers who we allow to speak into our lives. Part 2, beginning in January 2018, will center around connecting with those further along in their faith journey as well as reaching a hand back to help others along the way.

Once it's complete, you might envision My Crew as a crosswith your peers along the horizontal line, and the vertical line with your wise leader at the top and those you are helping at the bottom.

my crew: part 1

This fall, you will embark on a journey with your crew (3-5 people). As you leave port, we have some important tools (and a few puns and nautical analogies) to help you make the most of your journey!

my crew: part 2

Every good sailor needs to learn from the best and pass along their knowledge. In January, My Crew will expand to include a wise friend at the top and those you are helping at the bottom.
