WHY ARE WE DOING "MY CREW" AS A CHURCH?

Each year, Walnut Hill Community Church is focusing on one of our Driving Initiatives. This year, September 2017-August 2018, we are focusing on our Ignite Faith initiative where we are committing to growing deeper in our relationships with Jesus and one other. Hear our pastors teach on the biblical context for igniting faith and My Crew.

how do i find crew members?

First, start by praying and ask God to help establish your crew. As a crew’s goal is to grow deeper in relationship with Jesus and one another, we are confident that He will lead and guide you. Take a look at what Scripture has to say about friendship.

Next, take a “relational inventory” of Christ followers in your life who you naturally connect with. In many cases, forming a crew may simply mean being more intentional with people you already know. Be sensitive to God’s leading and consider people who are different than you or whom you may not yet know well. 

What if I'm new or don't have those kinds of friends yet?

First, let us assure you, you're not alone. It can be difficult to find really good friends in this busy world. We can help!

Join a smaller group. There are many groups within our church (Community Groups, women's ministry, men's ministry, care groups, etc.) that are great places to meet your future crew members. Get connected to a group!

Another option is to jump into a crew with people you do not know. If you'd like to do that, email us at mycrew@walnuthillcc.org. We will be keeping a list of people interested in doing the same.

What if I already have My Crew?

If you're already meeting regularly with a small group (3-5 people of the same gender) to encourage one another, hold each other accountable and grow deeper in your relationship with Jesus ... then you already have a crew! Just take a minute to let us know so we can be praying for you.
