Now that you have prayerfully asked someone to be your guide and found others to invest in guide - it's time to dig deep and make space in your life for these relationships!

Set up a time to connect regularly - at least once a month. We've made it as simple as possible by giving you some guidelines and questions to ask each other.

Laying the Framework

Just like you did with your Crew, it's essential to lay down some ground rules with your guide-ing relationships. Without the proper framework, your boat is destined to veer off course or even sink. The first time you connect, you should each agree to these basic values as the framework for your time together:

  • Intentionality: Agree to connect regularly. (Sounds simple but it requires commitment.)

  • Permission: With humility and authenticity, we give each other permission to speak into each other’s lives in love. That means we need to be able to trust one another and understand that everything that's shared is completely confidential.

  • Direction: Each person in a guide-ing relationship is committed to holding fast to the vision of growing deeper in our relationship with Jesus and one another.

Conversation starters

Each pair will move at its own pace getting to know one another and growing deeper into community with each other. This time is intended to help you learn from your guide and to invest in the life of the person you are guiding. As you come together, you may find it helpful to talk about these topics:

  1. Your First 20

  2. Relationships with your Crew

  3. What God is saying to you, wants to change in you or is calling you to do

  4. A particular area of your life or faith journey in which you would like to receive wisdom or support

  5. How you are stewarding what has been entrusted to you, such as your relationships, talents and material possessions

Attention Parents: If you have children still at home, we have family resources to help you be intentional about guiding your children!
